Tonight’s debate brings eight presidential hopefuls together on one stage.
Former President Donald Trump met the Republican party’s polling and fundraising qualifications, however, he announced earlier he would be skipping the debate.
The candidates who will be participating are:
- North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum
- Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
- Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley
- Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson
- Former Vice President Mike Pence
- Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy
- Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina
Moderators will be looking for each of the candidate’s reactions to Trump’s indictments.
Other topics of discussion will be the role the U.S. has played in Ukraine regarding the Russian invasion, and also abortion.
